WHO IS EVERMAN LEGAL?
While attending the University of Texas School of Law, Everyman Legal founder Patrick Hackeling began his research into disability law. He recognized that, despite the legal pathways available for individuals seeking disability benefits, many remained in the dark. Aware of this disconnect, Hackeling dedicated himself to providing the necessary guidance and support to empower those in need through well-crafted legal arguments that center on the applicant's lived experiences, enabling them to access the life-saving benefits they deserve.

We serve individuals who are struggling with serious disabilities that make it difficult for them to work. Whether you’re applying for SSI or SSDI benefits, or need help after being denied, we’re here to listen, answer your questions, and tell your story in a way that gets you the financial support you need for a better quality of life.
WHAT IS SSI & SSDI LAW?
Social Security offers two distinct disability programs: SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance). SSI provides financial support for those with low income who are disabled, while SSDI assists individuals who have contributed to the Social Security system through their work history. Eligibility for at least one of these programs is common among many individuals with disabilities.
GIVING BACK
At Everyman, we're committed to making a difference in the community. In pursuit of that goal, we offer free seminars on SSI/SSDI and other legal topics to help individuals better understand their rights and options, as well as tutoring services to current law students and bar applicants. With these efforts, we aim to build a stronger foundation for the future while actively addressing the needs of today.
